What ever happened to Buck?
I seem to remember, nine months ago as we moved over here...he had said, in passing, he was gonna be on less.

For whatever reason. Shifting focus? Putting things in order in real time, for what we all know is coming?

It happens. I was at other-focused boards before I came here, and I'll probably move on, at some point. Maybe because I choose not to pay for the jacked-up cost of Internet connection...seeing as how it's moved from communications and entertainment, to propaganda and surveillance.

Humm, I have enjoyed reading this thread, brought back memories. Memories of that super fast confoun-dent computer I had, had till it fried its self into a mass of discombobulated parts.

After I sent it to the lab and they sent it back as "we don't know?" Why I made parts of it. And, that my friends is why I diss-o-peer-ed. Well at least I have this phone....and, I hate it.

Butt all in all I've enjoyed this thread with its rants, and bitch'n....

Hey Mike.........just for entertainment here's a link to some ranting & bitching by hypertiger. It's funny but a bit insane.

No! Not super kittie!

Dag-nab-it search. U know, long time, ago i mean way back in my tequila teens or my early whiskey 20's I ran across a little black book. A little black book about corporate members who dressed up in robes and they did circles and about the time they did the "hokey-pokey" I closed the book and beered it out of my brain.
And, and that's what I think about 3° and 33° .
You know? I din't even finish that hokie-pokie book. Never even crossed my mind to think about it till I read ur link.

I wish I could provide more info but I can't.

"We lost TnAndy due to a chronic lung issue, he was like a father, brother, and best friend rolled into one for me. He was my high school Building Trades teacher and we remained close for the last 40 years. We all lost a vast array of knowledge when he passed away, not mention a loyal friend."

Wow! RIP TnAndy!

I didn't know him that well, but we chatted a bunch.

Sent him some of my Irish CD's. I didn't know he wasn't in good health. Lost touch after GIM2 went south.

One of the things I miss most about GIM2 is the relationships we had. Frank screwed that all up.

When I joined GIM2, a lot of why my handle is what it is, was based on TnAndy's recommendation of the Glock19 as a reliable weapon.
His skills as a all round handyman/homesteader, early solar adapter were always good reading.
I think he got weary of politics after being so heavily invested in Ron Paul's presidential run.
RIP

I really wish I could remember the guy.

I'm sure we probably had good interactions, but I don't remember them now.

But...it's sad to see any of us, go the way that we all will have to go, eventually.

I really wish I could remember the guy.

Posted a lot of homesteading / prepper type stuff. Also helped start Survival Monkey with Melbo. Here's some of his stuff.

The kitty lives.

I don't think I interacted with TNAndy much but do remember him being a wealth of knowledge. As I get older, I find myself longing for the good old days and the friends "met" along the way on GIM1 and GIM2. I will say that collectively both of those, GIM3, and this forum have changed my life for the better.

Yes. In spite of the titles of these forums, I was already on the right path, as they say. I have to thank Unca Walt for that - for stuff he told me 20 years earlier, that I didn't accept or reject. Mind-shifts take time.

But I'm here, now - and that includes the other site as well - mostly as pressure relief. I came back as a GIM refugee, to GIM2, after forty years in the desert (eight, actually) looking for non-lethal ways to deal with The Coof. I got them aplenty - and again, another mind-shift. We need new conspiracy theories, now that all the old ones are proven as facts.

So I'm just hanging out now, watching my Golden Years turn into something a bit darker toned...the stuff you find on a dog-park trail. But...it happens to everyone. The Strauss-Howe Generational Theory holds, and with proof, that the cycle is 80 years. Everyone has to go through it at least once in his lifetime.

My parents were kids. Now it's my turn in the hot seat...unfortunately, as an old duffer.

TNAndy was both ornery and generous. He gave me my only suspension st GIM, and he also sent me 10,000 rounds of .22LR when I was trying to find ammo for a kids summer camp during the shortage. Still have the crate he sent it in. My wife turned it into an outdoor flower planter.

The US Dollar’s Collapse Has Begun - How High WIll Gold Climb?

A moment of silence for all of those from GIM2 who are no longer with us as we are on the precipice of a great crusade as Ag punches through $38 and BTC hits an all-time high. I ask myself why God has allowed us to live in the moment and thank Him everyday for the bountiful gifts (unless you are short!).

Thanks to pmbug too for putting up with us and adapting to some of our outrageous opinions. I am excited to see where we will be this time next year when the US shakes off the Biden regulations and the economy really opens up. Crypto week is right around the corner!

Give this guy a listen. Has a longer 2:45:00 interview with Tucker, but he covers nearly everything here at 1.5x speed.

memory slips me but the best of all time was coined in gim1 (forgot the guy that coined but he has passed)...." if you don't hold it you don't own it"

Ponce
You forgot Ponce's name?
He was an icon on GIM.

This link works for me, hope it works for anyone interested.

Lots to think about in that link.
All good posters. Agnut the yard sale guy, mtnman, EO, shootist & a couple fellas that are here now.
Looking at the kitco at the top of the page in 2017 gold is at $1260.
I remember how I was feeling unsure of the "gold thing" since I had tried to catch a falling knife at $1500 as it was dropping from $1900.

I remember buying at handfull a few years ago @ $1825 and then added more at $1790. I stopped trying to time the market and really stacked when they announced gold would become a Tier 1 asset. Next confirmation was the Big Beautiful Bill that's making the printing presses go

Bŕrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

Ain't none of us young.

And all we're promised, is threescore years and ten.

I discovered GIM roughly 2011. Before that, I was on other basically, conservative sites, where the gold-standard was a constant theme.

So, of course, the ideas, and the movement behind them, have been around a long-long while. And none of us are getting off this rock alive.

Yep. I was at GIM about 3 months after it started. Got their from Dr. Veronsky kicked me off his no-name site. I actually don't remember it!

Saw a lot of changes, learned a great deal too.

Remember when we'd have silver contests? Everyone would go buy silver and report how many they got.

Then there was the creation of the GIM silver round! We all pitched in. I think the molds cost @ $2K up front which was figured into the price. I remember $17/oz for them?

Scorp never had to fret about paying the bills. He'd put a button up asking for funds and it didn't take long before he met the goal and took it down. Just enough to keep the thing going.

it was a good site....i really dont remember the year i joined but it was when the early originals were still around like Hypertiger barnaclebob etc.....for me it was just a place where people talked what i was already living ...was already a PM person..was of a prepper mindset ...etc....as much as anything it was a support for my mindset and i didnt post much.....things are always better when they are raw passionate and new .....sorry it had to go .......... i did worry a bit that it had to much anti-establishment type talk and that at it was being monitored ....... i do think that is why some of the founders retreated to their safe places ....as conversations were raw and uncensored

that is a advantage of a site like this one .....not much inflammatory conversations to show up on the governments radar

WOW, I don't know why I missed this thread, but I did. Glad to be catching up a bit. I spent a fair amount of time on GIM2 and got to know a few there. I did find GIM and lurked around but never posted much. I became a really serious stacker from about 2011 to about 2022. It was around 2011- 2012 or so when I got very interested in GIM2,...I think. Especially got serious from 2014 -2020 when we got completely debt free. I learned a lot from several there/here. We stacked lots of AG and not enough AU in hind sight. Overall we are in an excellent position. Our goal was always to have PM's as a hedge and it worked out fine. I did not buy the original GIM rounds but I did acquire a bunch of them from some kind soul.... (was that you Ttazzman). It was a real shocker to see that old 2017 Kitco ticker on the Ponce thread with gold at $1200+ and silver at $17.00. I retired a year later in 2018. I remember my old financial adviser having a shit fit thinking I was wasting $$ on god knows what (he had no idea we were buying PM's). He had already shit himself when I pulled savings out to pay off our house....:LOL: Its good to see so many of the old group from GIM2. Thanks PM Bug for hosting us. I'm enjoying this site more each day. Greetings all

I never could happen to get in to GIM. Limited sign-up, but i read often. When GIM2 came i probably signed up before April 1st. Just to add likes to comments

Really?! Well, I knew of Ponce from a completely different site, RealCent, where he was well known for promoting the stocking of boxes of nickels! He just disappeared...

I'm concerned about him.

I've been watching his local paper...not wanting to read what eventually I will.

I hope he's recovering from whatever it was, quietly - and without the blood-pressure accelerator that is the modern InterwebZ....
I can go see him. I will take my wife along because she likes the feathers from his peacocks. She uses them for decorations.

Ha ha ha,..... Now a days that all happens openly on X and even on FB. I'm guessing the Govts radar is being pointed in other direction these days. We've come a long way baby.
