What foreign bases were we "ran out of"? When you mention 42 plane destroyed your including 24 MQ-9 drones, aircraft shot down by friendly fire, C-130 aircraft we intentionally destroyed during operations, a few aircraft struck on the ground by Iranian missile strikes. Onlt a couple were lost during actual combat operations against Iranian aircraft and air defense. We lost 4 F-15s, 3 of which were lost due to friendly fire by Jordanian air defense usinf equipment we ourselves sold them.

In any even these Losses were all minor compared to the entire Iranian air force being wiped out, probably for decades. A bunch of our losses were helicopters, drones, and other utility aircraft, all a very partial loss to our inventory. All the pilots and aircrew of the very few manned were rescued. Iran's Navy ? Wiped out. Their air defense network ? almost entirely wiped out. 8 of their very few and precious F-14 fighters wiped out. Our 42 losses include those of allied nations. It was as one sided a war as you could wish for, totally dominated by America.

At the bottom is a full accounting of loses with description of events. https://www.globalmilitary.net/conflicts/iran-2026/
