So yeah we tried it but I think only once did it actually become law and was never even enforced except maybe with the stupid white people.
Nothing some bang bang shoot 'em up wouldn't have fixed.
Thanks.The old man was asian

What?...they THINK?Must be their thinking; "what? it's just settin there waitin to be taken."
Well...wiggers have a bit of trouble connecting cause = effect, also.Legos are white crime I'm willing to bet...along with Pokémon or other cards.
They steal what they think they can get money for.Idiots.
What they steal, what they favor, shows their mental development. Or lack thereof.
They can get money for a lot of things. They steal what they think they can get money for.
They tell the manager that their Theft Threshold wasn't crossed - unless they can PROVE that the (missing, stolen) items were over $1k in value.Works until it doesn't...then the cops get involved.
You're in an area that's falling but hasn't crashed.Still nothin' locked behind plexiglass at the stores I shop at.
Well, nothin' other than spray paint, nicotine patches and guns.
I can see that. First, you don't want dust/crud falling on the cakes. Box them, and the icing is likely to be damaged. The bakery keeps some cakes behind glass too.

If they have to lock up ANYTHING, it speaks of the moral level of the customer base. That it's spray-paint and nicotine patches, tells you of the mental level they're at.
Guns have to be locked up. State and Federal Law, I believe. Even if not, common sense would require it. ESPECIALLY since not everyone who wants one will pass a government-approval check - and might decide that a five-finger bypass is the way.
I mentioned the cakes tryin' to be funny. They're in a standard pastry counter with the curved glass on the front. Ie: not "locked" up.I can see that. First, you don't want dust/crud falling on the cakes. Box them, and the icing is likely to be damaged.
And children misbehave. A five-year-old sticking his fingers into a cake, and tasting it, is just doing what kids do. Unless he's already been spanked for it, and that's not likely.
So, to save waste, just put them behind glass. That's just prudence.

Fun times...
A low-trust society.
Big-Box stores are monuments to a Hight-Trust Society. They didn't come to be in Moslem or even Soviet societies, where the emphasis was on, variously, public piety or subjugation to political ideology and political masters. In both worlds, petty theft, or even high-value theft, when done against someone not politically-connected...such was the order of the day.
Now, we've imported 100 million Turd World potentates of Diversity, and - Surprise! - we're turning into the Turd World. Malls are closing and stores have to put locks on everything. Even security patrols at the exits don't work, when the government refuses to punish crime with a value under a certain not-petty limit. And when corrupt judges refuse to incarcerate thieves because of the color of their SKIN.
This is - obviously - why shopping malls are dying. I'm in an area that's about a decade behind the general societal decay, and our local mall is thriving. Because we don't have dindus staging shooting wars, and we don't have Pak!s walking out of department stores laden with boxes they haven't paid for, cannot pay for, will not pay for.
But Elites in government refuse to address it, so, for law-abiding citizens-now-subjects, we're faced with everything in a store, under lock and key.
