It's that time of year again - the web hosting bill is due. I checked the revenue from the Google ads and was shocked at how little it pays out these days. Many years ago, those ads easily paid for the web hosting bill and then some. Today, it's paying about $2 a month. That's just not worth it.
So today, I'm making a couple changes to the site:

- No more 3rd party ads - I'm removing all 3rd party ads (no more Google Adsense for visitors). Maybe a cleaner site will encourage visitors to sign up and become members.
- Gold and Silver Market Reports nodes moving to supporters only - I'm moving the PMBug's Gold and Silver Market Reports forum rooms (nodes) to paying members only (for members that are contributing funds to support the site). I'm spending ~2 hours a day or more gathering market data from disparate sources and doing the necessary currency conversions and time alignments to compare apples to apples and discern insights into the markets. I think that should be worth ~$0.25 per work day for folks to enjoy it. The intelligence from this work is what gave me the conviction to rotate assets from crypto into silver last September and that turned out to be very well timed.
