Donald Trump faces a Monday deadline to delay enforcement of a $454 million civil fraud judgment.

NEW YORK — Frozen bank accounts. A sheriff at the door. And maybe even a private plane put up for auction.

Donald Trump could soon face any of those scenarios if he can’t come up with a roughly half-billion dollar bond by next week to stop the enforcement of a civil judgment after a judge found that he and his company committed widespread corporate fraud.

If Trump can’t find an underwriter to guarantee the amount on his behalf — and if he fails to persuade a court to give him an 11th-hour respite while he appeals the verdict — New York Attorney General Tish James can begin seizing his assets.

Monday marks the end of a 30-day grace period that James granted Trump, and she has said she is prepared to act.

“If he does not have funds to pay off the judgment, then we will seek judgment enforcement mechanisms in court, and we will ask the judge to seize his assets,” she told ABC News last month. And James has already taken preliminary steps: She has filed the Manhattan judgment in neighboring Westchester County, a precursor to any enforcement actions there.

I guess $455 million plus damages would bankrupt the city. So they lowered the bond to $175 million. Basically meaningless and just as idiotic and changes nothing.

Georgia judge sets hearing to consider dismissing Trump case on free speech grounds​

AGeorgia judge has set a Thursday hearing to consider dismissing a conspiracy case against Donald Trump on First Amendment grounds.

On Monday, Fulton County Superior Court Judge Scott McAfee ordered the hearing for March 28. McAfee is expected to consider motions from Donald Trump and other defendants in an election interference case.

Trump's motion asked the court to dismiss the case based on his First Amendment right to free speech.

The precise scenario Cruz predicted is finally occurring. The Republican response, however, is very different. The suspicion with which they once viewed Trump’s business career has dissipated. He is no longer a sleazy mobbed-up con artist but an innocent victim of overzealous prosecutors. The word Republicans now use almost uniformly to describe the former president’s travails with the justice system is “lawfare.”

  • The presumptive Republican presidential nominee’s Truth Social post came one day after New York Judge Juan Merchan imposed a gag order limiting what Trump can say about the case.
  • Trump is charged with 34 counts of falsifying business records to conceal a hush money payment to porn star Stormy Daniels.

Donald Trump on Wednesday again targeted on social media the daughter of the judge in his upcoming criminal hush money trial — one day after that judge imposed a gag order limiting what Trump can say about the case.

Trump, in a Truth Social screed, slammed New York Supreme Court Judge Juan Merchan as a “hater” and repeated his call for the judge to recuse himself from the case.

Trump pointed to Merchan’s daughter’s work in progressive politics, and a social media account that he claims is hers, as evidence that it is “completely impossible” for him to get a “fair trial.”

Merchan’s daughter “represents Crooked Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, Adam ‘Shifty’ Schiff, and other Radical Liberals, [and] has just posted a picture of me behind bars, her obvious goal,” Trump claimed.

If he's so obviously a crook, why ain't he in court over any of that?

Why do they waste time on crap like that, if there is such obvious evidence of him being a crook?

They (gov and the dimwit dems) have been attacking him constantly for at least 8 years now, but nothing has ultimately come of any of it.

So why doesn't your side, the ones you support, go after him for what you say is clear and obvious evidence of him being a crook, if he actually is one? Seems like it'd be an easy way to get him.

For example, if there were clear and obvious evidence showing that you robbed the bank yesterday, wouldn't you expect that evidence to be acted upon? Especially when everyone in a position to do so, hates your guts? You know, like the ones in charge today feel about Trump?

Serious question..............If Trump is at one of the upcoming trials he's facing, and he thinks he'll be convicted, will he hightail it to the Russian or Hungarian embassies and ask for asylum?

My money is on yes.
