It's Trumps fault.
Yes, you need to add a "hashtag" word. Hypothetically if the article is on dumbass liberals, the hashtag might be Liberals, Dummies, Pelosi, stupid liberals, etc.
That's based on my very limited hashtagging which has been limited only to the few threads I've posted here and my previous nausea over hearing the word hashtag.

Newmisty, I'm not sure I follow.
This appears at the bottom of my "post"
When I click inside the box I get a pop-up that says "please enter 3 or more characters".
Apparently any RANDOM three characters does not work.

All's ya gotta do is make it a real word pertaining to the article Dubz.
When you type a tag word into the field, be sure to hit enter or click on the word. You should see your word in the tag field with a border around it and a small 'x' button (to delete the tag word). Once you see that border, you can save your post (start your thread).

Important - Tags and the tag cloud
This forum has a keyword tagging system for threads. When you create a new thread, you have the option to include tags. Tags are keywords that encapsulate the topic of the thread. You can see examples of tags that have been used if you look at the 'tag cloud' shown at the bottom of the forum...

Also, isn't a "hash tag" this: #politics with the pound "#" sign, whereas a 'tag' is from one to five words?
Any post can have 'tags' added by clicking on the 'tag' flag at the top of the page under the title:
but most folks don't bother.
I think it has something to do with web crawlers searching...
