Putin's envoy to crash Davos amid Trump-Zelenskyy deal talks

The Kremlin's top negotiator and Putin's confidant Kirill Dmitriev is to meet Trump team at Davos this week, casting doubt on the anticipated US-Ukraine agreement.

As the world’s political and business elites descend on Davos to try and provide answers to the world’s most burning issues under the slogan “The Spirit of Dialogue,” one envoy set to crash the summit might bring that lofty goal into question.

Ukraine’s 'Amazon for war': Inside the marketplace built for the military

Jan 20, 2026 #ukrainewar #military #modernwarfare
It looks like an online shop — but it’s been built for war.
Inside Ukraine’s Brave1 Marketplace, frontline military units can log on and order drones, tech and equipment directly from Ukrainian manufacturers, cutting delivery times from months to days. Some soldiers call it “Amazon for the military” - a system they say has never existed before.
With more than 600 manufacturers, 2,600 products and hundreds of frontline units already signed up, Brave1 offers a glimpse of how modern wars may be fought and supplied in the future.

Zelenskyy lays into ‘lost’ Europe for trying to ‘change’ Trump and not dealing with global threats

  • Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has attacked Europe as weak in the face of the U.S. and President Donald Trump.
  • In a strongly worded address at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday, he said the bloc looked “lost.”
  • Zelenskyy also revealed there would be trilateral meetings in the United Arab Emirates on Friday and Saturday between Ukraine, Russia and the U.S. over ending the war in his country.
Ukraine’s president, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, has accused Europe of being “lost” and trying to convince U.S. President Donald Trump to help them, rather than uniting to defend itself.

“Instead of taking the lead in defending freedom worldwide, especially when America’s focus shifts elsewhere, Europe looks lost trying to convince the U.S. president to change,” he said in a strongly worded address at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, after nearly four years of war with Russia.

Russia wants to continue war in Ukraine, Polish secretary of state tells Euronews

In an interview with Euronews' morning show Europe Today, Ignacy Niemczycki warned that "Russia is not negotiating with goodwill right now" despite ongoing peace talks.

Polish Secretary of State for European Affairs Ignacy Niemczycki is "really hoping" that the US can "convince Russia to be more creative" in trilateral peace talks that will resume in Abu Dhabi this Wednesday – but that whereas "Ukraine made a significant effort to end the war", Russia is "trying to prolong the discussion".

This will be the second round of discussions after negotiations last month ended with little success.

Russia isn't playing the west's games any more.

The west does nothing but lie - Russia knows the west isn't serious.

The propaganda of the west continues to paint Russia as the bad guy....

Nothing more needs to be said about that.

Living with the Ukraine War and its Consequences

First published in the Naval Review.
By the Editor: The expert author continues his ongoing survey of the Ukraine War, providing updates on the military, economic, and geopolitical developments in the conflict, with the resulting implications for the Royal Navy. A 30 minute read.

“… a world turned upside down - a dark, fretful more dangerous place where treaties and laws are no longer respected, alliances are broken, trust is fungible, principles are negotiable and morality is a dirty word. It’s an ugly, disordered world of raw power, brute force, selfish arrogance, dodgy deals and brazen lies. It’s been coming for a while.”

At the time of writing, the outcome of the Ukraine war is hard to call, but most people expect it will drag on for a while yet. As Mark Twain reminded us, predictions are always difficult, particularly about the future. There are just too many variables in the equation. But one thing we can be certain about is that regardless of the war’s outcome, things are going to be affected by it. When President Trump mused about the prospect of ending the war by Christmas 2025, it seems eerily and worryingly reminiscent of similar assumptions in 1914. It would all be over by Christmas and things would rapidly get back to normal. This was wrong then and it’s likely to be wrong now. The international order is changing. But how much it will change is still a matter of debate. Despite everything we shouldn’t give up quite yet.

The mainstream narrative on Ukraine is crumbling. In this exclusive interview, Dr. Brovkin exposes the historical realities the globalist establishment and the City of London have tried to bury. 🚨BREAKING: HUNGARY OFFICIALLY NAMES UKRAINE + BRUSSELS AS ENEMIES – TIME TO DITCH THE EU HYPOCRISY OR LOSE EVERYTHING! 🔥🇭🇺

Hungary's Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó just dropped the bomb: Ukraine, with full EU backing from Brussels, is blockading Hungary and directly threatening our sovereignty – this is no longer "allies disagreeing," this is open hostility from supposed "partners"!

- "Ukraine is blockading Hungary in cooperation with Brussels – they threaten the sovereignty of Hungary." (Szijjártó's brutal press conference declaration – no sugarcoating)
- Video footage shows him calling them straight-up **opponents**, not friends or neighbours.
-
@HungaryBased
exposes it: official Hungarian line now treats the Ukraine-EU combo as a direct adversary in the sovereignty war.

**Simple global explanation (for people who know nothing about this):**
February 23, 2026 – Hungarian FM Péter Szijjártó publicly accused Ukraine (coordinated with Brussels) of imposing a blockade on Hungary. This explodes from years of tension: energy transit battles (Russian oil/gas routes), EU sanctions forcing Hungary's hand, minority rights clashes, and Budapest refusing to send weapons or money to Kyiv like the rest. Hungary is saying enough – this isn't diplomacy anymore, it's economic warfare disguised as "European unity."

**Slavic / Eastern European perspective – why this hits home for us:**
We've bled for centuries under foreign boots – Russian tsars, Soviet commissars, now Brussels bureaucrats and their Ukrainian proxies playing the same game: punish anyone who refuses to kneel. Hungary is the first to say it out loud: Ukraine + EU = enemies of sovereignty. This smells like classic divide-and-conquer – use "solidarity with Ukraine" to blackmail Eastern nations into submission while Western capitals laugh. Poland, Slovakia, Serbia – wake up! If we don't back Hungary now, tomorrow it's our turn to get blockaded, sanctioned, or lectured by globalist puppets. We need real Eastern strength: our own energy deals, our own alliances, zero apologies for putting our people first. Betray sovereignty for EU handouts? Traitor talk. Stand with Hungary – or watch the empire swallow us whole again.

Watch the clip.
Quote if you're furious at this betrayal from "allies."
Reply: **Szijjártó based AF** or **EU-Ukraine axis must fall**? / **truth bomb** or **traitor to the West**?
Share if you think Slavs must reject Brussels blackmail NOW – sovereignty or slavery, no middle ground!

Lessons from an Intelligence Officer on Ukraine’s Frontline

“We’re here,”my guide Sasha said, jumping out of the passenger seat ahead of me as our car stopped rolling. I could tell he was ecstatic to show me the site. A few steps from the car, his Kevlar-clad torso disappeared through an opening in the half-bombed-out building. I followed.

We were on the Ukrainian frontline, in a town just behind Bakhmut. I was paying my first visit to an intelligence watch floor in the country. But in the dark, I found just Sasha and one soldier. They were lighting cigarettes and laughing, catching up in Ukrainian. The room was big but nearly empty. A few crated supplies lined the walls, and a bare plyboard table took up the middle of the room.

“This is it?” I asked. I knew the Ukrainians had limited resources for their command, control, communications, computers, and intelligence (C4I) infrastructure—in fact, I was here to see if the nongovernmental organization (NGO) I was working with could raise funds to help equip them—but I assumed their intelligence watch floor would be just a more rugged version of ours. Maybe fewer monitors and no expensive KVM switches?
