That's what your grandpap said when you were a kid, too.
I can't speak for Nick...but that's what my grandparents did, too.

Bugged out. Out of Germany.

Actually, twice. After the Fed Depression hit, there wasn't much opportunity for someone with a thick German accent...and they had heard things were better in the Old Country, so they went back.

Unfortunately, what they found was the Wiemar QE Bubble. Things were great, until they weren't. Then they got really bad.

But...it's something every generation seems to have to face, once in their lifetime. It's not whether you bug out or not; it's if you meet your obligations while you make a move.

I've had to think on this, really. I'm too old to bug out. I can't learn Cyrillic or Russian; I won't fit in with Central American natives. So, I ride this bull until it throws me - until I'm arrested for CrimeThink. That's when I either eat my Glock, or force my betters in uniform, to eat some lead.

We will see. Frankly, I'm tired of waiting for the shoe to drop. It's a shame...most of my life was relatively comfortable, even though I was never rich. Then this, at the end.

In Paraguay they let you keep your guns.

What protections does a subject have, that they might change their stance suddenly?

We have the Second Amendment. It's no longer a guarantee, but it is an obstacle. In Canada and in Australia, they had none - and in each, firearms were banned, slowly or partially but suddenly, and with no legal blowback.

And we see what happened with the Coof and with the In-vase-shun, of all these Diversity avatars.

So...again...I dunno. It's another world - a newcomer, and an alien, doesn't know where he stands, or if he has any standing at all.

Yeah, Bessent is like a king's underling whose task is to make the king's expenditures work... somehow.

How many of us remember proclamations from the toadies about their "goals", when it is obvious that they had almost no control of the markets they hoped to influence. "Our policy is to ... blah blah blah." Excuse me, please! Your "policy" message is just verbal horse-shit! Your words are just wishes and you have nearly zero power to effect or affect your wishes or the market.

Whatever the T-bill is supposed to return, I believe that the actual return will be, after inflation adjustment, will ALWAYS be worse than any other investment.

To repeat my myself, the US Treasury offerings will NEVER, EVER be a good investment. NEVER! The inflation factor will always be factored in. Even if you don't see it yourself, the treasury sees it as plain as day.

Yeah, I listened to Bob Brinker on the radio about the "gifts" from the treasury. In the 90's maybe I should have listened to his advice. But I actually did okay putting my brain and energy into Internet tech instead of buying zero-coupon bonds.

They're mostly for holding cash reserves.

Better to earn something on cash than nothing.

The Orange Gollum of Greatness...in his senility, I don't think he cares.

Now that he's giving the Tech Tyrants what they want, and is leaving the CIA to continue their corruption-capture with honeypot sex-traps...they're letting him get all the stroking his demented ego wants.

Nothing else matters. If he's aware of it, he's figuring he'll be dead before it happens.

And if that's the case, that he's figuring that...he's no more moral than Joe Autopen or Hussein. Or Bubba-and-Cankles.

Its just math, it hasn't been able to be paid off for decades... And that's just the Official debt and none of the rehypothicated and the fake Computers just spitting it out.

One other thing to keep in mind, is that the $40 trillion debt number doesn't include the interest owed on that debt. Just principle.

For example, the interest on a 30 year note is equal to 150% of the principle.

US debt crosses $40 trillion threshold after doubling under Trump and Biden

WASHINGTON, Aug 19 (Reuters) - Total U.S. debt has topped $40 trillion for the first time, the Treasury Department said on Wednesday, drawing fresh warnings that a fiscal crisis is brewing as ballooning costs for social safety-net programs and interest payments far outstrip revenues held back by tax cuts.

The Treasury's latest daily cash and debt balances statement showed total public debt outstanding at $40.047 trillion on Tuesday, a total that includes Treasury securities held by the public of $32.266 trillion and intra-governmental debt holdings of $7.782 trillion.

It's not really the potus's fault though.

It's congress who says what to spend money on, and by how much.

If the potus spends otherwise, he could be impeached for it.

Wait! That's not all folks. You will have the pleasure of witnessing the debt and interest payments spiral out of control! Plus if you order right now you will get to see it much sooner than you expect and your savings evaporate! Call now!

It gets better. The Captured Mediuh are "warning" us that COE-vidd is "again on the rise" in that new Utopia of Deep-State social control, CHY-nuh.

Past is prologue, right? Year Two of Trump II. Time, right on schedule, to call PLAN-DEMM-ICK!!!

Poison is ready, citizen. You get a free Krispy-Kreme carbo-bomb, on the way out.
