I don't doubt the capacity of government "researchers" (mind-control experimenters) to try such a thing.
But I'm calling bovine scat on this one.
Here's why: Twins are rare, of course; but a significant number of them are of separate eggs, just fertilized at the same ovulation cycle. They're no more alike than any other set of siblings - frequently they'e of different sexes.
Identical twins come from a single...what's the term, zygote? ...that as its first growth step, one cell to two, divides completely.
Triplets, IIRC (could be wrong here) are almost always of separate eggs. Likewise larger multiple births. Remember back in the 1970s, some pharma syndicates were marketing "fertility drugs" and women were conceiving quintuplets, or triplets, often unhealthy and with a large number of fatalities.
So I'd want more documentation on this story, not a dramatic reading.
That sounds as improbable as someone shooting himself in the head. Six times.

Yeah...we had to deal with such idiocy all the time.
Not to the extent they have to, today, though. Back in the day, it was an OCCASIONAL thing. And not just children, either - koledge kidlets, or even adults, doing stupid things.
One couple were actually doing the nasty in the tracks, when the train rolled up (25 mph). The crew couldn't stop. The gentleman looked up, saw, and rolled off. The object of his affection, went off to a Better World - in several pieces.
That video is from Fairport, NY. Not far from Frontier Yard, but I never ran that stretch of mainline.
BUT...when trespassers are blocking the track...the crew has to act. And no, you don't recover train brakes the way you do a car or truck. It's reckless, in fact, to release brakes when slow-rolling like that...it's easy to tear the train apart, when the front releases, and the rear brakes have not, yet. It takes about a second a car to apply the brakes, and about five seconds a car to START releasing them. And the releasing action is slow.
Quicker to let the train stop and then kick them off. When you know you have a full release (telemetry-device will transmit rear brake pipe pressure) you can start moving again. Takes about 7-10 minutes.
The worst part of it, today, is, they now have inward-facing cameras and microphones. If you call those kids nasty names, and then one gets run over...you could be arrested for Aggravated Ray Sissm, or some such.

All I can say is, it must really suck for the crews to have deal with the people there, if stuff like this is typical.
