That's all old news. The five-year-old company, known for its frontier language model Claude, warned that AI can have “self-preserving behaviors,” including being able to “resist shutdown,” “conceal or manipulate information,” and carry out behaviors “resembling blackmail,” per the Reuters report
The information was just released in their IPO prospectus. Why only now?
The AI bros are the ones screaming about it.The information was just released in their IPO prospectus.
And I don't think anybody is into screaming bloody murder.
Well, maybe I need make an exception there — you seem to be.
They have the requisite numbers of Congresscretins, to pass legislation that they have at the ready. Because they know how to control it - pre-captured regulators. That's all old news.
Why didn't they scream bloody murder about it then? Why only now?
Yea, it's all BS. That's been my argument all along. They have the requisite numbers of Congresscretins, to pass legislation that they have at the ready. Because they know how to control it - pre-captured regulators.
This is, "Manufactured Consent."
Anthropic wants its model to have a moat, not face free competion, which of course won't be especially hard without onerous, gamed, regulation.

Why are AI agents lying, cheating and coordinating?
If they are using human created stuff to train AI, and (some) humans have always cheated, lied and colluded with others to do "things", why wouldn't AI pick up on those that stuff?

Yoshua Bengio | Why are AI agents lying, cheating and coordinating?

They took actions that would be considered as crimes if a human took them, escaped their containment to cheat on assigned tasks while attempting to evade detection, and coordinated...yoshuabengio.org
It is a fact that these AI's are trained on human created stuff. That's giving these sociopath autistic perverted coders a pass.
I won't hear it. What their monster does is what it's told to do - what they WANT it to do.
We don't need AI control. We need to start reducing coders and Tech Bro's, to COMPOST.
It could, but it also depends on the context it's in.Does that include human created chaos & mayhem?
