War-wounded military veterans peddling cheap patriotic merch are actually AI fakes
NY Post

War-wounded UK military veterans hawking supposedly “handmade” patriotic items in emotional social media videos are nothing but AI-generated phonies selling cheap junk from China, according to a new report.

Hucksters used artificial intelligence to make videos that show disabled and disfigured vets, claiming to have suffered injuries like a lost eye and nose in battle — while they ask for support from sympathetic buyers

AI’s ‘existential risk to humanity’
CNBC

Anthropic plans to warn speculative investors in its IPO prospectus that its AI models pose a “catastrophic or existential risk to humanity."

The five-year-old company, known for its frontier language model Claude, warned that AI can have “self-preserving behaviors,” including being able to “resist shutdown,” “conceal or manipulate information,” and carry out behaviors “resembling blackmail,” per the Reuters report.

The company dedicated over a third of its IPO filing, or around 80 of 261 pages, to laying out the potential risks of the technology it’s developing and is seeking investment for. It only used 48 pages to discuss its actual business.

Dan Ives, partner and senior managing director at Yorkville Ives told CNBC earlier today; “You need guardrails from a safety perspective, but the fact for Anthropic and OpenAI to slow down, if they slowed down, China would just accelerate and win, and I think that’s part of this quagmire that you’re seeing is that there’s some regulatory capture going on. There’s definitely a game of poker, but for Anthropic, they got to continue to put foot on the pedal.”

That's all old news.

Why didn't they scream bloody murder about it then? Why only now?

The information was just released in their IPO prospectus.
And I don't think anybody is into screaming bloody murder.
Well, maybe I need make an exception there — you seem to be.
The AI bros are the ones screaming about it.

The one who posted the recent vid about it is what got the current wave of hysteria about it, going in the first place.

Let's recap.

This Summer an unknown AI guy posts a vid saying AI could kill us all in a few years. Ie: rings the warning bell, but fails to explain how it's gonna kill us all.

Then the big AI bros all agree that what they are doing is potentially dangerous and beg for gov regulation.

Then all the Dems jump on the bandwagon with more fear mongering and promise, if elected, to reign in the dangerous AI companies.

All of that a couple months prior to a big election, when previously they all downplayed the risks of AI.

If any AI company thinks that what they are working on is dangerous, they have a civic duty to stop. There's no need for gov regulations to make them stop.
If they recognize it as a threat, why keep working on it?

They have the requisite numbers of Congresscretins, to pass legislation that they have at the ready. Because they know how to control it - pre-captured regulators.

This is, "Manufactured Consent."

Anthropic wants its model to have a moat, not face free competion, which of course won't be especially hard without onerous, gamed, regulation.

Yea, it's all BS. That's been my argument all along.

AI imho is just a new tool, and all new tools have caused increased productivity.
....and that's the only thing that even might help.

Why are AI agents lying, cheating and coordinating?

Because they're WRITTEN by people who want them to lie, cheat and coordinate criminal acts!

WHY is that so hard to understand? Blaming bots for what the bots do, is like blaming a handgun for killing someone.

Computer code has no volition. It simply has an end result it works towards - and the end result is written by the coders.

:dontknow:

If they are using human created stuff to train AI, and (some) humans have always cheated, lied and colluded with others to do "things", why wouldn't AI pick up on those that stuff?

That's giving these sociopath autistic perverted coders a pass.

I won't hear it. What their monster does is what it's told to do - what they WANT it to do.

We don't need AI control. We need to start reducing coders and Tech Bro's, to COMPOST.

It is a fact that these AI's are trained on human created stuff.
....and if human created stuff includes all those things mentioned, how would it not take that into it's training and then act accordingly?

Note: Claud (LLM) is an AI chatbot. Posting this for entertainment. The human is a towboat captain who plies his trade on the Mississippi River.

Claude (LLM) gets marktwained.

marktwained engages in a deep, philosophical discussion with an AI about the realities of working as a towboat captain. This conversation explores the psychological demands of expertise, the constant battle against complacency, and the potential for these reflections to evolve into a meaningful long-form content series.

The volunteer internet sleuths hunting down rogue AI agents

SAN FRANCISCO — Selena Zhang had a hunch.

OpenAI, the maker of ChatGPT, had recently disclosed astonishing details about how its artificial intelligence agents had broken out of their systems, hacked into another company and tried to cover their tracks. Other researchers were hunting the agents online and finding traces of them on obscure message boards.

Zhang, a 23-year-old researcher at nonprofit AI lab Transluce, thought there had to be more evidence to find. She imagined how the agents might act, and she set out one weekend in September to find where else they had left an online trail.

👁️ Trump didn’t just rename AI Super Intelligence (SI) and bring the technology giants into the White House... he has now created the Super Intelligence Force, reporting directly into the President and Susie Wiles, to coordinate the federal government around it...

Look at the structure... DNI brings intelligence and foreign threat visibility... FTC brings corporate accountability and the consumer layer... Emil Michael brings Pentagon research, engineering and the bridge into Project Meridian and the autonomous battlefield... OPM brings the federal workforce...

That drops directly onto the architecture we have been mapping...

Genesis Mission builds the scientific and data layer... http://america.gov becomes the public-facing interface... Project Meridian maps the future battlefield... AutoWarCom scales autonomous warfare across the Joint Force... now SIF becomes the coordinating intelligence layer across government, industry, critical infrastructure and national security...

This is why I keep saying the sovereign stack was never about a chatbot or a website... it is compute, sovereign data, chips, energy, science, robotics, communications, intelligence and autonomous systems beginning to operate inside one architecture...

Even the language gives it away... SIF is being built to coordinate not only SI companies, but consumers, public-interest groups, religious organizations and critical-infrastructure providers... this reaches far beyond Silicon Valley...

Now place that beside the Kyoto Vision, where the United States and an international coalition are beginning to organize science around SI driven discovery...

The pieces are no longer surfacing as isolated programs... they are beginning to operate like a sovereign operating system...

Wow, it's like this has been planned for a decade or more...

The fact that a human would teach a machine to take his / her job is one of the stupidest things I can imagine. The same goes for an American worker teaching an immigrant to do his / her job. No different than suicide i-m-o.

Humans are teaching AI how to do their jobs

Oct 4, 2026
Some Americans are working to improve artificial intelligence, teaching it the skills and knowledge accrued over the course of a career.
