Gov. Cooper provides restoration updates after devastation of Helene in western NC​

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — Nearly a month after Hurricane Helene swept through western North Carolina causing horrible devastation, Governor Roy Cooper provided more updates Monday regarding restoration and recovery efforts.

Well I have seen that the Quartz plant had processing facilities like most mines. They have floatation circuits and things which would have meant large quantities of acids or chemicals. There was also a rumor of Uranium fuel on a truck getting caught n the floods somewhere.

Internet In A Disaster . Is it a Luxury Or A Necessity. Lessons learned From Hurricane Helene.​

I filmed this to address some of the many comments I received over these past few weeks about internet and Starlink. Some folks feel like the internet is now a necessity in their lives, others still look at it as a luxury. I'd love to hear what category it lands in for you!

Whether it is luxury or necessity, depends on your survival plans/course of action.

What this points out is, the infrastructure is FRAGILE. Multiple failure points - power to computers (or CB/HAM radios); wire connections and what is used to boost signal to the greater network.

Depending on those, is risky. And as I've said about other SHTF/EOTWAWKI scenarios, nobody knows how it will go down.

First, nobody did much, anticipating FEMA would ride in to save the day. BIIIIGGG mistake. FEMA is government. Government now, no longer even pretends to be neutral servants - it's politicized, and this area's dominant social-political views are not those of the government Woketards.

Second failure, nobody thought to use/try/practice ahead-of-time with CBs or HAM equipment. So it was dead on the bands - only a few trying everything.

Third failure, once they saw no help was coming and FEMA were acting like Nicaraguan government banditos...they found the Internet, even if they had communication, was relatively useless. There was no network; no Alternate Grid communication to any non-Woke volunteer group.

It took a week of panic, and much death, for them to find a way.

Some of this is inevitable. When things go sideways, there's no help for it, no planning. The only effective planning is DISCIPLINE - the ability to keep a cool head, think logically, work as a team with de-facto leaders, whoever emerges.

And with that, being ready for primitive communication and distribution techniques. MULE TEAMS. Nobody's talked about it, but runners on horses or offroad motorcycles, probably have done better than waiting for government to allow Elon to send Starlink for free out there.

THIS is prepping. Able to form a quasi-military chain of command and organization at the drop of a hat. Size up what can be done, what's going to be effective (email won't work, even if you have it, if those you're reaching to, do not have it) and what won't work (waiting for Woke soldiers).

I expect the survivors out of this area, have learned this. But since no one in mediuh is stressing it, I wonder how many others can deduce it.

Inet is easier than a short wave set up.

The Red Cross is an effective NGO, now.

Michael Yon has commented that both the Red Cross and some large Protestant church sects, are VERY active in Panama, getting the "migrants" up to the Texas border.

Obviously IMHO, it appears the Red Cross is controlled by forces that want to aid Globalism, not disaster victims.

What do the members of this forum think a good NC relief charity is?
I do not want opinions from anyone outside this forum, so please do not suggest I google this or that.

Serbia Train Station Collapse Possible Causes Novi Sad​

On November 1, 2024, the street side front canopy roof of the Novi Sad train station in Serbia collapsed, killing 14 people and injuring others. The station's 115–foot–long concrete canopy collapsed onto people walking and sitting underneath. Fourteen people were killed and at least three others were injured. The train station was built in 1964 and had renovations constructed by a Chinese consortium from 2021 through 2024. With allegations flying back and forth as to whether any remodeling was performed on this canopy facade, questions are raised as to what could be the root cause of this tragedy. Possible hypotheses are shown here. Was there an error in the original engineering design of the building? Did the Chinese construction company make a grave mistake?

An official with the Federal Emergency Management Agency was "removed from their role" and is under investigation after the Daily Wire obtained a leaked internal message in which they ordered workers to bypass the homes of Trump supporters as they surveyed the damage caused by Hurricane Milton in Florida.

Why did the river move at Chimney Rock...and what happens if we move it back?​

Helene's flood in Chimney Rock significantly changed the pre-flood landscape, with the Rocky Broad River taking on new courses and channels in several parts of the Hickory Nut Gorge. As of the end of November, the river has already been moved back onto man-made channels to allow rebuilding. This video talks about why the river moved in terms of what sort of geologic materials are in the riverbed, and also offers thoughts on what challenges might arise if the river is moved away from the course that it "chose" during the flood.

FEMA has offered to purchase land from homeowners in Cocke County, Tennessee, whose properties are located in a flood plain.

FEMA has also instructed the county to block these homeowners from rebuilding their homes.

In response, Cocke County officials are considering withdrawing entirely from FEMA's flood insurance program, citing frustrations over federal interference and the impact on property rights.


The primary purpose has always been a land grab, while expanding portfolios and bank accounts. Especially when you consider the amount of lithium and quartz that sits below the ground in these specific flooded areas.

What makes this criminal is that the government reclassified these areas as a flood plain, therefore giving the insurance companies an "out," which then allows FEMA to offer a lowball price for the land that is now declared to be in a flood zone.

This entire future mining operation plan has been in the works for years. Once the minerals were verified at their specific locations under the ground, the wheels began to turn. The final permits and paperwork for the lithium and quartz mining companies were signed off on by the one and only Kamala Harris. Once you understand that Kamala's husband, Doug Emhoff, and BlackRock as well as others, have heavy investments in the actual mining companies who will be extracting the lithium and quartz from these flood zones, everything begins to make sense. It's always all about the money, while real American citizens lose everything and suffer.

A “huge roar” preceded the tremors in the southern Italian city, sending residents running for the streets at around 1.25am on Thursday.

Why Did Bangkok 33-Story Building COLLAPSE? Chinese Crime?​

This was the State Audit Office building, which was under construction then. Located on Kamphaeng Phet Road in the Chatuchak district, near the Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal and the Chatuchak Weekend Market, the building was intended to serve as the new headquarters for Thailand's State Audit Office. Construction began in 2020, and the structure had topped out in April 2024. At the time of the earthquake, the project was approximately 30% complete, with ongoing installations of piping and glass walls.
The collapse resulted in 19 confirmed deaths, 33 injuries, and 73 individuals reported missing. Rescue operations are ongoing as authorities search for survivors and assess the full extent of the damage.

The 7.7-magnitude earthquake that struck central Myanmar on March 28, 2025, had its epicenter near Mandalay, Myanmar's second-largest city. The distance between Mandalay and Bangkok is approximately 600 miles (965 kilometers). Despite this considerable distance, the earthquake's tremors were strongly felt in Bangkok, 600 miles away, leading to significant disruptions and damage within the city.
