27 GIRLS & COUNSELORS DIED AT CAMP MYSTIC - JUST 48 HOURS AFTER STATE INSPECTORS APPROVED ITS “DISASTER PLAN.”

No evacuation. No flood alerts. Just cabins and tents swept down the Guadalupe River. The state signed off, and now? Everyone’s covering their ass.

Camp Mystic sat in a known flood zone. State inspectors approved the plan anyway with no flood risk assessment, no posted procedures, no real evacuation prep.

Now agencies are pointing fingers. Locals say there was no warning. Officials dodge every question.

And here’s the kicker:
State law requires every youth camp to post its disaster plan in all buildings.
They were NOT posted at Camp Mystic.
And five years of inspection records, reviewed by the AP, show the state never mentioned it once.

Not a single detail on flood procedures. Not one violation noted. But the boxes were checked. Filed. Approved. Forgotten.

Meanwhile:
* 27 dead at the camp.
* 87 dead in Kerr County.
* 111 across Texas.
* 172 still missing.
* Worse than Hurricane Harvey.

This was a predictable system failure, ignored by the very people who were supposed to prevent it.

Now that the bodies are piling up, every agency is scrambling to rewrite the story.

The only real cuts that were IMPOSED, not identified, were USAID, State Department financing of queer theatre productions and third-world school queerings; and layoffs of work-at-home bureaucrats.

NO ONE can point to anyone laid off in the VA, NWS, the air-traffic system, or others.

But the schitt-stirrers never rest.
 

Tsunami waves reach California and Hawaii after massive earthquake in Russia​

  • Tsunami waves have reached California several hours after a powerful 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Russia’s Far East.
  • The earthquake, which struck off the coast of Russia’s remote Kamchatka Peninsula early Wednesday, triggered evacuation orders in Hawaii and Japan.
  • Waves in Japan have ranged from 30 centimeters to 1.3 meters.
Tsunami waves have reached California and Hawaii several hours after a powerful 8.8 magnitude earthquake in Russia’s Far East.

The U.S. National Tsunami Warning Center said Wednesday morning that tsunami waves measuring 1.6 feet above tide level have been observed in Arena Cove in the U.S. state of California.

In Hawaii, tsunami waves of up to 4.9 feet above tide level were registered although the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has said available data suggests a major tsunami is not expected to strike the island state.

Volcano in Russia’s far east starts erupting after huge Pacific earthquake​

Russia's Klyuchevskoy volcano has erupted on the Kamchatka peninsula, following a powerful earthquake in the Pacific on Wednesday.

The Russian Academy of Sciences' United Geophysical Service confirmed the eruption, stating on Telegram: "A descent of burning hot lava is observed on the western slope. Powerful glow above the volcano, explosions."

Klyuchevskoy, one of the world's highest volcanoes, is located approximately 450 km (280 miles) north of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the regional capital.

It has erupted several times in recent years.

Yeah. You experiment with weather modifications, you sometimes GET weather modifications.

I don't have a link, but a covert operation, going on a year now, seeding clouds out of California...ostensibly to "fight glow bull warming" with additional cloud cover...was recently uncovered. AFTER torrential rains in Texas. Which have happened in the past, but not frequently.

Dabble with what you don't understand or fully control, and sometimes disasters happen. And sometimes that's really the mad-scientists' aim.

Truckers who cleaned up after California wildfires say they were left in the lurch for thousands of dollars​

After working long, grueling hours to clear the burn zone from the Palisades Fire in Los Angeles County, dozens of truck drivers in California say they were left waiting on paychecks that didn’t come.

Alex Miramontes, owner and operator of Gray Valley Transport, says he and about 40 other truckers were hired to remove debris in the area from March through May.

“We’re all behind on insurance, mortgages,” he told CBS Los Angeles in a story published June 7. “We borrowed [because] we thought the money was going to come in on time.”

The truckers say they worked 12 to 16 hours a day for over two months under harsh conditions.

Today we are announcing the arrest of 29-year-old Jonathan Rinderknecht on a criminal complaint charging him with maliciously starting what became the Palisades Fire in January.

The complaint alleges that Rinderknecht's started a fire in Pacific Palisades on New Year's Day -- a blaze that eventually turned into one of the most destructive fires in Los Angeles history, causing death and widespread destruction.

Among the evidence that was collected from his digital devices was an image he generated on ChatGPT depicting a burning city.

While we cannot undo the damage and destruction that was done, we hope his arrest and the charges against him bring some measure of justice to the victims of this horrific tragedy.

Rinderknecht's initial appearance is scheduled for today at 1:30 p.m. EDT in U.S. District Court in Orlando. Rinderknecht is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

“There is something very large at play in the Palisades fire. There was a couple from Portland, Oregon, and they drove into the Palisades Fire scene in a decommissioned fire truck. They had emblazoned this fire truck with the name Rolling River Fire Department. — They got into the scene two days in a row before they were stopped and arrested.

Woah. — We do know that they were acting suspiciously in the fire zone on a fake fire truck.

Turns out the woman is a national weather service wind and fire expert who teaches juvenile delinquents climate change issues. They make rap songs called weather slaps. And some of the lyrics go like, wait until you see it all burn.

And her husband, the guy behind the wheel, is a convicted arsonist who burned down country clubs and rich people's houses in a small town in Oregon.

He Won the $2 Billion Powerball. Now He’s Buying Up Lots Burned in the L.A. Fires​

ALTADENA, Calif.—On a recent overcast morning, a group of investors surveyed one of their newly purchased, wildfire-scorched land plots, when a silver-haired woman approached.

“Who are all of you?” asked the woman, the resident across the street. “This is Edwin,” said one of them, nodding toward a stocky, ponytailed man in the group.

The woman sighed in relief. She, like many longtime Altadenans, knew exactly who Edwin Castro is: the guy who bought a record $2 billion Powerball lottery ticket at a local gas station in 2022.

He’s also one of the biggest buyers of Altadena lots after the Eaton fire tore through his hometown in January, and he wants to lead the rebuilding effort there. The blaze in the San Gabriel Mountain foothills coincided with the nearby Palisades fire and several others, killing at least 31 people while destroying more than 16,000 structures.

“This is for a family that wants to move in,” Castro said, while walking through the fire-charred neighborhood on a recent weekday. “Those are the people that need to be looked out for right now.”
