Adding Isometrics to Training (When and How Much?) Plus LIVE QA/CSS Critiques

Question: Stew, is there a place for isometric exercise movements that should be done to supplement weight lifting and TRX exercises?
Answer: Yes - You can do them as either warmups or cooldowns during workouts using the same muscle groups as worked that session. Whether isometrics or slow eccentrics, both are useful tools for training.
We will do them at the end of a set as well. For instance, after 10 military presses, hold the Overhead press for 1 minute.
Types of isometrics: Plank Pose, Lunge holds, Overhead holds, wall sits, hanging from pullup bar, etc..

GENE LEBELL FEATURING JUDO VS BOXING FIRST TELEVISED MMA EVENT 1963 - The Boy With Red Hair

Dec 12, 2023
A highly personalized and entertaining interview with Judo Gene describing the events leading up to, during and after fight night. The original concept was to work on a documentary or a short film of Judo Gene's life with a working title "The Boy with Red Hair". Others have spoken about such a project, but no one ever went the distance mainly because of the costs of production. We spent many hours with Gene interviewing him and he didn't follow the script, but it was okay, he volunteered a plethora of unabashed comical moments with colorful expletives from his years in the fight and movie biz that had to be edited for public consumption.
There is so much history about Judo Gene that has never been brought to light, yet possibly some day his story can be told. This short video will hopefully give the viewer a glimpse of Judo Gene's personality and entertaining wit.
